Do you have a deep passion for art, history, and culture? Are you eager to share your expertise with travellers? If these qualities resonate with you, we might be interested in your profile. Our tour offerings include a mix of museum visits and walking tours.
Here’s what it’s like to work with us:
- As an independent guide, it’s crucial to possess the necessary national certifications for leading tours in museums or at specific landmarks/monuments.
- You have the flexibility to determine your workload, whether it’s a little or a lot. While we appreciate long-term collaborations and dependable guides, this isn’t just a seasonal gig.
- Although we provide a general tour structure, you have the creative freedom to decide what information you want to share and how to present it. We don’t provide a specific script or formal training, so be prepared to showcase your creativity. In some case you might be required to make a tour trial, where you will have to lead a team member on a tour.
- Guides are expected to have the Google Calendar app and provide their availability at least one month in advance, and we will assign tours based on your schedule.
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:
- Confidence, extroversion, and dynamism, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English, with additional languages as a plus.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently while following our operational procedures.
- The ability to handle diverse clientele from around the world with varying expectations.
- Problem-solving skills to assist clients and address any issues that may arise during a tour.
- Enjoyment of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds in a bustling environment.
- A proactive approach to expanding your knowledge about tours and conducting independent research for new tours.
General Requirements:
- Fluent English-speaking ability, as the majority of our tours are conducted in English.
- Legal authorization to work as a freelance tour guide in your chosen tour location, if required.
- Previous experience in independent full-time work or university education.
- In-depth knowledge of the neighborhood or museum tour you wish to conduct.
- Flexibility and adaptability in terms of availability.
- Proficiency in using smartphones and computers for various tasks such as Google Calendar, WhatsApp, email, texting, online documents, and new apps.
Application Procedure
To start the application process, kindly forward your CV/Resume. Additionally, you could include both your most favourable and least favourable guiding reviews, along with a list of tours you are proficient in based on those we currently offer on our website.
Should your application meet our criteria, we will reach out to arrange a short Interview or Trial based on the basis. If it seems like there’s a strong match, we will proceed with the onboarding process.
