Welcome to The Expat Tours (“we,” “our,” “us”). By booking a tour, travel package, or experience with us—whether directly through our website, a third-party platform, or in writing—you (“the traveler,” “you,” or “the customer”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Please read these carefully before making a reservation. These terms outline your rights, responsibilities, and the conditions under which we operate our tours and packages.

Bookings & Payments

• All bookings must be made through The Expat Tours official website, authorized agents, or affiliated booking platforms.
• A deposit or full payment (as specified at checkout) is required to confirm your booking.
• Payment can be made via major credit/debit cards, bank transfer, or secure online payment links.
• Prices are quoted in GBP (or as displayed) and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
• Once confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation and itinerary. Please review this carefully and notify us immediately of any discrepancies.

Cancellations & Changes

Signature Tours

• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour start time receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.
• Some tours are final sale (non-refundable). These include exclusive-access, ticketed, or private experiences and will be clearly marked at booking.
• No-shows or late arrivals are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.

Travel Packages

Our multi-day or customized itineraries have a tiered cancellation policy based on the notice period before departure:

• Third-party supplier fees (e.g., internal flights, hotels, or event tickets) may be non-refundable even within longer notice periods.
• All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to our team. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Changes by the Customer

• Amendments such as date changes, guest name updates, or itinerary adjustments are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee.
• Major changes (e.g., switching destinations or tour types) may be treated as a new booking.

Changes by The Expat Tours

• We reserve the right to modify itineraries, services, or accommodations where necessary due to weather, operational reasons, or safety concerns.
• In the rare event that we must cancel your experience, you may choose between a full refund or credit toward a future tour or package.

Travel Requirements

• It is your responsibility to ensure you meet passport, visa, vaccination, and health requirements for your destination.
• Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your travel dates.
• We are not liable for denied entry or delays due to incomplete documentation.

Travel Insurance

• Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended (and in some destinations, required).
• Insurance should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and personal liability.
• We offer travel insurance through trusted third-party providers as an optional add-on.

Health, Safety & Conduct

• You must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary needs, or mobility limitations prior to travel so we can accommodate accordingly.
• We reserve the right to refuse participation to any guest whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or impacts the enjoyment or safety of others.
• Certain experiences may require moderate fitness. Please review descriptions and inquire before booking.

Our Responsibility

• We carefully select partners, accommodations, and guides to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
• However, The Expat Tours acts as an intermediary between you and various suppliers (hotels, airlines, transport providers, etc.).
• We are not responsible for events beyond our control, such as flight delays, weather conditions, political unrest, or natural disasters.

Liability Disclaimer

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Expat Tours shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense arising from circumstances beyond our control.
• Our liability, if proven, shall not exceed the total cost of your booking.

Use of Guest Photos, Videos & Materials

Photography & Filming

We may capture photos and videos during tours for marketing or storytelling purposes.

By participating, you consent to appearing in such materials, which may be used across The Expat Tours’ website, social media, or promotional content.

Right to Opt Out

You may opt out by informing your guide before the tour begins, and we’ll ensure your privacy is respected.

Guest-Provided Content

If you share photos, testimonials, or videos with us (e.g., by tagging us on social media), you grant The Expat Tours a royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for marketing or editorial purposes.

You retain ownership and may revoke consent anytime by contacting us.

Guest Participation & Liability Waiver

Acknowledgment of Participation

By booking or participating in any experience with The Expat Tours, you acknowledge that travel and exploration may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, transportation, and environmental conditions.

Assumption of Risk

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree that The Expat Tours, its employees, affiliates, and partners are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage except in cases of proven negligence.

Health & Fitness

You confirm that you are in suitable health and fitness to participate in your chosen experience.

Please disclose any medical or physical limitations before booking so we can advise appropriately.

Personal Conduct

You agree to behave respectfully toward guides, fellow travelers, and local communities.

Failure to comply with safety instructions or engaging in disruptive conduct may result in removal from the activity without refund.

Photography & Media Consent

By participating, you grant The Expat Tours permission to use your likeness in photography or video captured during the experience, for promotional or editorial purposes, without compensation.

If you prefer not to appear, please notify your guide prior to the start of the tour.

Release of Liability

You hereby release and discharge The Expat Tours, its directors, staff, and partners from any claims or demands arising from participation in our tours or activities, except where prohibited by law.

Governing Law

This waiver is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be handled by its courts.

Intellectual Property

• All content on our website (text, photos, videos, branding, and design) is owned by The Expat Tours and protected by copyright laws.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any materials without our express written consent.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is extremely important to us. We collect only essential information required to process your booking, improve our services, and provide customer support.
